Construction and trades

CIS registration, monthly returns and deduction refunds, with payroll and bookkeeping for the business.

Electrical contractors discussing a job schedule beside their van

Builders, electricians, plumbers, decorators and other trades have the Construction Industry Scheme on top of the usual accounts and tax. Contractors must verify subcontractors, deduct the right amount and file a return every month; subcontractors need their deductions tracked and claimed back. Anewthing runs the scheme for both.

The same practical support covers the rest of the business: bookkeeping that keeps materials and labour separate, VAT including the domestic reverse charge for construction services, payroll for employees, and year-end accounts and tax returns.
